We want a relationship with our customers and take specific requests. Our goal is to build exactly what our customer wants for a reasonable price. We are able to achieve this level of customization because we do everything by hand, from the pressing to the shaping. 

Leo was born in the California ocean and had to grow out of his flippers. He flopped onto land and onto a skateboard. This led him into the art of board crafting. He is now accomplishing his goal of starting his own board company but he dreams to expand it to include surfboards, handplates, and any other gadget he can dream up. In Leo's life, board shaping is only second to riding turtles and eating grilled cheese with salami.

Tortuga Boards was his brainchild and he works each and every day to shape the perfect boards for you. He is self taught, self funded, and can ride his board almost better than he can make it. Anything that you order will go through him first.

Tortuga means turtle in Spanish. This is Leo's favorite animal.
